Founder’s Picks:
This is one of the first painted surfboards that has come into our group, and it was impressive. Also a great turn-of-profit for an artist.
This artist makes great work of iPhone covers, making each one unique. They seem to make an iPhone case painting for any fan.
Another unique item that was painted on, and such a delicate canvas. The artwork's quality is impressive and skillful.
What looks like a normal painting, is described as being a painting on a metal door. Impressive creativity and quality.
Co-Founders’ Picks:
I loved this piece as soon as I saw the thumbnail.
I love the Pollock inspiration in this one.
Great surreal piece, very vibrant composition.
Beautiful sky. It really stands out against the white.
I thought this was an absolutely beautiful painting. Loved the colours, the theme and of course the excellent control of watercolours!

TRADITIONAL PAINTING [PARTIAL] RULES:
*~*~*Full rules are available HERE.*~*~*
Traditional Painting Mission:
- This Group is for traditional/physical painters and their work. Acrylics, oils, ink, a spray can, or any physical-type of paint is permitted upon any surface imaginable. Graffiti, traditional, window art, painted ceramics, face paint, any type of paint-based works are allowed. We look for artists who are dedicated to getting messy and putting themselves into their pieces.
Limit on Submissions:
- We have a 1-per-week limitation. We hope this will slow down the inbox-overload for all involved.
How To Tell Us Your Piece Is A Painting:
- Your piece needs to categorized 1 of 2 ways. 1) Submitted works should be categorized by starting with:
Traditional > Painting > etc
Traditional > Mixed Media > etc (with paint being 50% or more of submitted piece)
2) If you do not have your piece Categorized as in step 1 then you MUST indicate the medium you used in your artist's comments. (i.e. watercolors, acrylic, etc) Why? Because if it's categorized as a drawing, looks like a drawing, and has no medium, everyone is going to assume the piece is a drawing, and it will be denied. We want to avoid this just as much as you do, so follow the rules!
Quality:
- We ask you present your paintings professionally. This means: crop photos of your canvas-paintings so that the focus is your work and not what's around it. Try to avoid flash glares/lighting in the photo of your painting (we can help you with this if you're having trouble!!!). WIPs (works in progress) are NOT allowed, so only send us the final version.
Mix Media Works:
- We are strict with mix-media paintings. The piece has to be at least 50% paint/ink applied in a painting manner and be 100% traditional. If Pastel, must be fully covered and appear as a painting (not a drawing). Editing for brightness, contrast, clean-up, etc. is not considered mixed media. Small, non-obstrusive digital frames and watermarks are allowed, as long as they follow what is listed in the "Quality" section above. Example of a denied piece: adding a touch of watercolor to a colored pencil piece. Example of an approved piece: a rock slab with scenery painted on its surface.
Mature Content:
- The artistic nude form is classic, so no censor bars required. However, we will be following D.A. rules about mature content,so if we ask you to add a filter, please do so if you want your piece to be accepted. We ask ALL our members to be mature and respect other artists and their work. As the saying goes: If you don't like it, don't look at it.
Need More Co-Founders :D
We are always welcoming new Co-Founders!
It would require you to evaluate submissions, comment when needed, and then vote accordingly. Would appreciate a check-in about once a week, or more if it helps keep the large pile of submissions down.
If you're interested, please send me a note and I'll be happy to give you more details.

We are going to bring back the Landscape folder.
The old folders still remain, so here is how we will determine where your piece will go:
Landscape: Has to depict a distant view, showing both sky and ground. These will be more natural pieces, but doesn't have to be 100% nature.
Nature: Paintings focused on living flowers, seashells, trees, any natural objects found in Nature. Nothing that was man made.
Cityscape and Man Made: Landscape-style paintings of a city, paintings focus
